marilyn Amateur Joined: 11 Jul 2008 Posts: 2 Location: Canada Aztec whistles     One thing that appeals to me about ancient art, is that it was not only an object of beauty. They didn't just sit back and say 'how pretty' .. they used these beautiful objects. The objects had a purpose in their lives and a great deal of meaning. They were cherished. There has been recent research into the method of making these whistles, and several possible uses postulated.
